Breckon-Bred Power on Display at Alexandra Park
Illicit Love.

Friday night at Alexandra Park belonged to the Breckon-bred brigade, with a trio of talented pacers and trotters flying the flag in fine style. Illicit Love, High Energy, and Twista each found the winner’s circle, giving the farm and their connections plenty to celebrate.

First to strike was Illicit Love (Father Patrick x Cheeky Babe), who produced a sharp and well-timed effort to win the $35,000 TAB – Metro Trotters Final Mobile Trot. Strong to the line and beautifully rated throughout, he delivered a career-best mile rate of 2:01.9 over 2200m. Illicit Love now boasts three wins and three placings, with total earnings of $63,750.

Next up was Twista, who delivered a commanding performance in the $33,775 TAB – Metro Pacers Final Mobile Pace. A son of Double Twist (by Bettor’s Delight), Twista has now had 4 wins, 14 placings and $93,558 in stakes for his team at Stonewall Stud and Stables.

Capping off a great night for the farm, High Energy (Father Patrick x High Gait), added yet another victory to her already impressive resume, taking out the $20,000 Garrards Horse & Hound – Pukekohe Mobile Trot. Bringing up career win number 11, her earnings now push toward $220,000, marking another standout result for the Breckon Farms Super Six Syndicate.

Seeing three Breckon-bred winners on one night - across both gait types and from different bloodlines - is incredibly rewarding for the Breckon Farms team. A huge congratulations to all the owners, trainers, drivers, and teams behind these talented horses. We’re proud to see them doing what they were bred to do.
