The Breckon Farms – Seven Stars Syndicate is the twelfth such syndicate established by Ken and Karen Breckon of Breckon Farms and officially commenced on the 1st October 2024.
All of the fillies broke-in well, with encouraging reports and then joined their respective trainers' stables to continue their preparations, with Mariners Rose competing in an early season 2YO Workout at Ashburton on the 7th January, finishing an excellent 2nd placing, going down by just a neck and then finished in 2nd placing again the following week to be the first of this Syndicate's fillies to qualify.
Three other fillies have now also qualified and all four qualifiers have now raced as 2-year-olds.
BIG MIKI has had 2 starts before being spelled and is now back in training, MARINERS ROSE has had 4 starts before also being spelled and has been back in training for one month and is showing promise, ROSE ALL DAY who is a trotting filly based in Victoria, has had 4 starts for 2 placings and is currently racing and TWIST AND TANGO who made her debut on the 29th August at Alexandra Park, running a nice 3rd placing in a NZ Sires Stakes 2YO Fillies Heat.
Unfortunately, one filly has had to be retired with an injury, while others have been spelled.
We certainly look forward to what should be a very exciting 2025 2-year-old racing season with this new crop of Breckon Bred talent.
