The trotting cousins Higher Power (Father Patrick-High Gait) and Regal Summit (What The Hill-Regal Love), who were both bred and reared by Breckon Farms, scored at Auckland and Methven respectively over the weekend.

Higher Power, who is part-owned by Breckon Farms, overcame a 10 metre handicap to notch his 11 th success from 29 starts for $274,638 in stakes, while the three-year-old Regal Summit took full advantage of a pocket trip to nail her first win.

Mediator (Captaintreacherous-Willow) brought up his fifth win from 13 starts at Auckland, leading for the last round and rating 1:57.2 over 1700 metres.

Starting from a 10 metre handicap at Methven, Semba (Captainbtreacherous-Sem’s Delight) made a grand beginning before rolling to the front inside the first 400 metres. The five-year-old gelding was never again headed, holding on gamely to register his sixth lifetime victory.

In Australia, Hotfoot It (American Ideal-Hothooves) led throughout at the Gloucester midweek meeting to notch his 22 nd win and improve his stake tally to just shy of $200,000.
