Gloucester Park double for Breckon Farms

Kinky and Rumble Strip, a pair of Breckon Farms bred and raised four-year-olds by Bettor’s Delight, won on the same card at Gloucester Park last Friday (May 15).

Kinky, a daughter of the Mach Three mare Spin To Win, enjoyed a saloon passage before outsprinting her rivals at a career-best 1:54.2 rating over 1730 metres. She has now won six races and $55,738.

Meanwhile, Rumble Strip, a gelding from the Artsplace mare Diamond Lace, sat parked for the last two laps before scoring in a 1:56.7 rate for 2130 metres. It was the gelding’s seventh success and lifted his stake tally to $69,832.

Party Central, a four-year-old gelding out of the dual Oaks winner Partyon, led for the last 1200 metres and powered away from his rivals to win in a new lifetime mark of 1:51.7 at the midweek Menangle meeting.

The son of Captaintreacherous has won five of his 14 career starts including four of his eight in NSW.

The talented trotter Lovemeto (What The Hill-Love Ya Doosie) raced without cover for almost the entire 2240 metres trip before easily accounting for a top Free-for-all field at Melton on Saturday (May 16) in a 1:56.5 mile rating. The six-year-old has now won nine races and $208,924 in stakes.

Breckon Farms was represented by two winners on home soil last week in He’s Not That Into U (Bettor’s Delight-Settle Petal), who broke maiden ranks at Cambridge Raceway, and Mystery Beach (Bettor’s Delight-Yea Baby), a winner for the fifth time at Rangiora.

In North America, the Breckon Farms’ bred and reared Major Hot (Art Major-Hothooves) earned a new speed badge of 1:50.8 winning a $13,500 race at Pocono Downs, Pennsylvania on Saturday afternoon.
