Group 1 glory for Apollo Eleven

Apollo Eleven, a two-year-old colt bred and part-owned by Breckon Farms, further underlined his potential when he led throughout to beat the best of his age in the country in the Group 1 $91,250 Young Guns Easton Light Trotting Classic at Auckland on Friday night (May 8).

He scored by a half-length in a 2:01.3 rating over 1700 metres. It was his third success from four starts and lifted his stake tally to $73,580.

By the French champion Bold Eagle, Apollo Eleven is out of the three-time Group winner and NZ 3YO Trotting Filly of the Year Tickle Me Pick (by Muscle Hill), the dam of an earlier winner and multiple Group placegetter Pretty In Pink.

Breckon Farms bred winners in three different States in Australia last week.

Rumble Strip (Bettor’s Delight-Diamond Lace) survived a torrid passage to win effortlessly at Gloucester Park at a 1:57.3 rating for 2130 metres, the three-year-old trotting filly Rose All Day (Love You-Tailored Elegance) notched her first win at Geelong and Regal Attire (Muscle Hill-Regal Volo) overcame a 20 metre handicap to win his 24 th race at Globe Derby Park.

Regal Attire has amassed earnings of $257,883.
