Imperial win at Hobart
Imperial Laz was sold for $24,000 as a yearling.

Imperial Laz, a five-year-old gelding bred, raised and sold by Breckon Farms, came from last to notch his seven lifetime success at Hobart on Friday night (October 16).

The Sweet Lou gelding rated 1:59 over 2090 metres.

The winner of almost $75,000, Imperial Laz is out of the unraced Ice Imperial (by Bettor’s Delight), the dam of three winners from four foals of racing age including the talented The Jolly Roger ($107,430).
The grand-dam, Champagne Dreams, ranks as half-sister to the mighty Lazarus.

A pair of Breckon Farms’ bred trotters in Lovemeto (What The Hill-Love Ya Doosie) and Higher Power (Father Patrick-High Gait) finished runner-up in Group company at Melton and Addington respectively last weekend.

Lovemeto sat parked throughout and was beaten only a length in the Group 1 $60,000 Bill Collins Trotters Sprint, while Higher Power led most of the way in the Group 3 $39,300 Canterbury Park Trotting Cup.
