NZ Trotting Double

NZ Trotting Double
Illicit Love

The talented square-gaiters Major Doosie and Illicit Love, who were both bred and raised at Breckon Farms, scored at Addington Raceway and Alexandra Park respectively on Friday night (July 24).

Both were required to sit parked for the last lap before overpowering their rivals in the home straight.

Major Doosie, who started from a 10 metre handicap, has now won five races and $77,868 in stakes.

By Majestic Son, Major Doosie is out of the successful Muscles Yankee mare Yankeedoosie, who has left four winners from six foals of racing age.

Yankeedoosie is a sister to the millionaire trotter and Inter Dominion champion I Can Doosit and the Group 3 winner Sno’s Big Boy.

Major Doosie was a $30,000 yearling at the NZB National Sale at Karaka in 2023.

Illicit Love, a four-year-old Father Patrick gelding part-owned by Breckon Racing Syndicate, has totted up five wins and $90,875. He is out of the Muscle Hill mare Cheeky Babe, a sister-in-blood to the 2025 Rowe Cup winner and NZ Trotter of the Year Bet N Win and a close relative of the Victoria Trotters Derby winner and Breeders Crown champion Stress Factor and the dual Group 3 winner Prince Fearless.
