Perth double for Hotfoot It

The nine-year-old Hotfoot It, who was bred, raised and sold by Breckon Farms, won twice at Gloucester Park in the space of three days.

The American Ideal gelding led throughout over2130 metres at a 1:58.4 rating on Friday night (July 17) and backed up to win over the same distance on Monday (July 20) at an identical rating after sitting parked from the outset.

Hootfoot It has now won 21 races and $190,000 in stakes.

He is out of the grand Bettor’s Delight mare Hothooves, the dam also of the three-time Group winner Hot And Treacherous ($531,509), the Queensland Derby winner Major Hot ($353,069) and the Cambridge juvenile winner Hot And Dangerous.

Imon, a three-year-old gelding, posted his maiden success when he led from go to whoa to beat older, more experienced rivals at a 1:59 rate over 1690 metres at Kilmore on Thursday (July 16).

He is the seventh foal and the fifth winner from the Group 3 NZ winner and NSW Oaks heat victor Rozelski ($179,718), who produced earlier winners in the NZ Welcome Stakes and NSW Carousel winner Cosmic Major, Harrison John ($226,975) and Dragon Tattoo ($112,196).

Breckon Farms bred two winners in North America last week in Vettel (American Ideal-Talks To Angels, a winner at Hoosier Park, Indiana in 1:52.2, and In A Wink (Bettor’s Delight-Goodlookingbabe), who clocked 1:56.4 at Buffalo Raceway, New York.
