“Rubira’s got them beat again!” rang loud as our talented son of Delightful Kas (Always B Miki) surged to victory in the Group 3 Redcliffe Derby - yet another standout performance from this Breckon bred that continues to deliver.

Prepared by Mark and Nathan Purdon, Rubira has been nothing short of exceptional, with a race record that now stands at 13 starts for eight wins and five placings, including a Group One victory in the Diamond Creek Farm 2YO Classic. His career earnings have already topped $270,000.

Offered through our 2023 NZB Standardbred National Yearling Sale draft, Rubira was secured by Phil and Glenys Kennard for $45,000. He is out of the three-win Bettor’s Delight mare Delightful Kas, a full-sister to six-time Group One winner Bell Of Montana, and a close relation to Carabella, the six-time Group One winner and former New Zealand Harness Horse of the Year.

Rubira’s journey continues with his sights set on the Group One Queensland Derby, coming up at Albion Park on July 19.
