THE WINNING HIGH CONTINUES

Gun two year old Trotting Filly HIGH ENERGY (Father Patrick) made short work of her opposition when powering to a 1.5L victory in the Lone Star Sires Stakes 2YO Championship at Addington on Friday.

It was a case of history repeating itself, with her dam HIGH GAIT (Muscles Yankee) also securing the honours in the Group 2 affair back in 2015. View replay here >> https://youtu.be/rI_mfBTcils

Not only a star on the track with 16 wins to her name including Group 1 success, High Gait is doing a grand job in the Broodmare paddock. The now 9YO has also produced HIGH ON LOVE who has already recorded two wins and looks set to resume soon and her third foal, a yearling filly hasn't faulted in her education thus far.

Her fourth foal - a Father Patrick colt will be the first of her progeny to be offered publically for sale at @NZB Standardbred's Karaka Sale in February. Winning connections with HIGH ENERGY

With only four career starts under her belt HIGH ENERGY now has a Group 2, Group 3 title to her name with all four victories achieved against the boys. Next week back at Addington she will have her chance to make it a Group race trifecta when she lines up against her own sex in the Group 1 Ace of Hearts as part of Grand Prix Day.
