New Racing Season Kicks off!

Breckon Farms once again has a good number of farm-bred or foaled, owned or related horses lining up to race this weekend.

THURSDAY

Cambridge in Race 2 is Sea Change who was a good last-start 3rd at Auckland and despite her outside Front Row draw here, should be right in this.

In Race 4 is Suidelike Major who is resuming from a spell and from his outside Front Row draw also, may find this difficult first-up.

In Race 5 is Ruby Rose who has good Auckland-placed form in 3-of-her-last-4-starts, so from a handy draw should be right in this.

FRIDAY

Addington in Race 1 is Kruizr who was a good 3rd placing last week on the course, so with a from a handy draw here, should go close to taking this out. Over at

Bankstown in Race 3 is Art I Special who broke and finished last, last week and hasn’t been firing of late, but should get his chance from the ace draw here. A

Mildura in Race 6 is Fleshing who ran on Tuesday at Bendigo, but was restrained at the start and never got into her race, so will need some improvement to feature in this.

At Gloucester Park in Race 6 is Crystal Sparkles who was checked out of the race when back in the field last week, but was a good 2nd placing the week prior on the track, so is capable of featuring in this.

SATURDAY

Albion Park in Race 2 is Vasari who was a tough last-start winner at Redcliffe from a 2nd Row draw, but from the inside 2nd Row draw here over 1660m, will require some luck. In Race 4 is Rocking who received a check and broke last week, so will need to bounce back strongly to be in this.

At Newcastle in Race 3 is Bite The Bullet who hasn’t really fired since moving to Australia, with a couple of 4th placings his best efforts, so will needs to improve, especially from his wide draw here over 1609m. In Race 4 are Liukin who was a good close-up 3rd last week and is capable of getting some of this and Laceys Lad who didn’t get into his race last week off an outside Front Line draw, so will need to be on his game from another wide draw over 1609m here.

At Menangle in Race 9 is Bita Banta who is fresh-up from a spell and with this field having substantial exposed form, it doesn’t look easy for him on resumption. In Race 10 is Shandance who was a good 2nd placing in a 1:53.2 mile last week, but from her outside Front Line draw in this, it wont be easy.

At Melton in Race 2 is Selling The Dream who raced roughly and broke last week, but was racing well before that, so with a little luck from his 2nd Row draw should get his chance to feature in this.

In Race 3 is Van Mara who didn’t get into his race last week, after pulling hard but still running 4th in each of the 2-starts before that, so will need to show improvement to feature here.

In Race 5 is Laredo Torpedo who was pulled-up with a flat tyre last week, after being a good winner on the course the start before, so can certainly bounce back here with a little luck from his 2nd Row draw in this.

In Race 6 is Pocket Thedeal who hasn’t really fired in his last 3-starts, but won 2-from-3 before that, so is capable of bouncing back from his handy draw here over 1720m.

At Northam in Race 3 is Ctheballerina who has been mixing her efforts in recent racing, so will need to improve to feature in this.

SUNDAY

Maryborough in Race 7 is Rock Tonight who hasn’t got into his races for some time now and broke from a standing start last week, so will need to show improvement to have any chance in this, up against some of the big boys.
