Racing Action

Breckon Farms once again has a good number of farm-bred or foaled, owned or related horses lining up to race this weekend.

FRIDAY

Auckland in Race 3 are Ruby Rose who was another good 2nd placing last week and from the ace draw again she should go very close again and Gladamare who was a good last-start winner here 2-weeks ago, so must rate in the top chances in this. In Race 4 is Sertorius who completed back-to-back wins here last week and must rate a chance to complete his hattrick here. In Race 5 is All Yours who didn’t get much luck last week but was a huge winner here the start before, so from the ace must rate highly in this field. At Addington in Race 9 is Kruizr who was a good thing beaten last week, so with a little luck from his inside 2nd Row draw here, should be able to redeem himself. Over at Gloucester Park in Race 3 is Crystal Sparkles who was a good 2nd placing last week on the track and must rate a good place chance again. In Race 6 is King Of Swing who has been struggling in his last few starts, but should get his chance to make amends in this despite his wide draw.

SATURDAY

Albion Park in Race 7 is Vettel who failed last time after sitting parked, but had some good placing prior, so from a handy draw is capable of getting some of this. In Race 8 is Rocking who was locked away off a 2nd Row draw last start, but should get her chance to feature off the Front Line here.

At Newcastle in Race 2 are Liukin who ran 4th without much of a go last time and is capable of featuring in this off the Front over 1609m and Laceys Lad who did a few things wrong last start but still managed a 4th placing, but does have the outside Front Line draw to overcome here over 1609m, so it won’t be easy. In Race 3 are Art I Special who was held-up from back on the inner last time, but hasn’t been firing of late so will need some improvement to feature in this and Bit The Bullet who has been thereabouts in his last couple, so with the right run from his 2nd Row draw over 1609m here can get some of this. In Race 4 is My Chachingchaching who is fresh-up here after two 3rd placings and a win in recent trials, so should be set to go and must rate a good chance.

At Melton In Race 2 is Selling The Dream who didn’t get into his race last week from 3-back on the markers, but was racing well before that, so should get his chance to feature again in this. In Race 3 is Emiliana who was inconvenienced when 4th last time, but will need some luck from a 2nd Row draw here over 1720m. In Race 4 is Rock Tonight who hasn’t got into his races for some time and from his 10m handicap in this will need to show improvement to be in it. In Race 5 is Pocket Thedeal who got locked away last week and didn’t fire the week before, but won 2-from-3 before that, so is capable of bouncing back from his handy draw here over 1720m. In Race 6 is Van Mara who has pulled hard and still ran 4th in his last 2-starts, but wasn’t in the call in three prior starts this campaign, so will need to improve to feature here, especially from his 2nd Row draw. In Race 8 is Laredo Torpedo who was a good winner on the course when last presented and is capable of overcoming a 2nd Row draw in this to go back-to-back.

At Bunbury in Race 3 is Smart Fortune who was a good 3rd placing from a difficult draw when resuming last week and with a little luck from his 2nd Row draw here, can certainly feature prominently again.

SUNDAY

Hobart in Race 9 is Stylish Trend who failed in 2-starts last weekend, but was a good 2nd placing the previous week from a stand, so off the Front in a stand here should rate a chance.
